Film fades. Tapes degrade. Slide color shifts. Equipment disappears. And the longer it sits, the harder it becomes to preserve what matters—especially when you’re not sure who can be trusted with something irreplaceable.
Many “big-box” services are built for speed and scale—rushing personal history through automation, upsells, or subscription access. That might work for commodity media. It’s the wrong approach for irreplaceable family media memories.

When someone calls about preserving family media memories, they’re not really looking for a service—they’re looking for reassurance. This is often a one-time decision, involving materials that can’t be replaced and stories that still matter deeply.
I understand that weight, because I’ve preserved my own family’s films and recordings. I know what it feels like to handle something knowing there’s no “undo” command available.
My name is Keith Luscher. I’ve spent decades in marketing, working with storytelling, media, and business development. But an additional passion of mine is honoring those who came before us, and preserving the experiences and memories that shaped us.
And that starts with FAMILY…warts and all.
When it comes to digitizing your family media memories for present and future generations, this involves treating original physical media with care, respect, and restraint. This work is intentionally hands-on and local. I don’t rush it, automate it, or outsource it. Every reel, tape, and slide is handled deliberately, with the goal of faithful preservation—not enhancement or distortion.
This is a new service I’m offering locally in 2026. It’s not a high-volume operation. It’s a careful, human process—because family media memories deserve more than convenience.
Here’s how the process works—and how we keep your originals safe from start to finish.

Before anything is digitized, we review your media together. I’ll help you identify what formats you have, explain their condition, and be clear about what’s safe—and what isn’t. If something isn’t advisable, I’ll tell you honestly, even if that means not moving forward.

Your media is digitized using non-destructive, proven workflows—never rushed or automated where attention is required. Film is scanned frame by frame (not projected). Tapes are captured in real time when appropriate. Cleanup is minimal and tasteful, preserving the original character rather than altering it.

You receive modern digital files you fully own—typically MP4 for video, with image or audio formats where appropriate. Files are ready to view, share, and archive without subscriptions, lock-in, or ongoing fees. Your originals are returned promptly and intact.
This process is intentionally calm and deliberate. Most people feel uncertain—not because the process is complicated, but because the stakes feel high. My goal is to remove that pressure by making each step clear, transparent, and unhurried.
When we’re finished, you should feel confident that your family media memories were preserved the right way—and that you made a thoughtful, informed decision.

Vintage projector sound added (unless otherwise requested)

Vintage Photo Prints, 35mm Slides & Negatives Digitization

Archival Transfer to Lossless Digital Formats
This service is designed for preserving vinyl media memories. While this could include personal recordings, for most will be sentimental albums, or out-of-print records that deserve careful handling rather than automated ripping (obviously for personal use).
Because vinyl digital recording and post production require time, setup, and attention, this service is intentionally limited.
What’s Included
Real-time playback and capture
Individual track separation
Light noise cleanup (no aggressive filtering or compression)
Manual level setting to avoid clipping or distortion
Technical Capture Standard
24-bit / 96 kHz archival capture
Files delivered in lossless formats:
.WAV (uncompressed master file for long-term preservation)
.ALAC (Apple-friendly lossless format with full audio quality)
.FLAC (widely supported lossless format with smaller file size)
All digital audio files are properly metadata-encoded, with track titles, album information, and artist details embedded for reliable organization and playback.
We do not deliver MP3 files, because MP3 permanently discards audio information (to reduce file size) and is not appropriate for archival preservation.
Delivery Options
Digital file delivery (secure download or client-provided USB)
Optional decoratively vinyl-coated CD (disc + slim-case) - metadata encoded
$75 per LP
$125 with CD upgrade
Larger collections reviewed individually
Industry norms actually price by the foot. Our pricing is simple (as seen above), with discounts available for multiple reels.

Yes. Our process is non-destructive and does not use heat projection or chemicals. If scanning pauses, the film is unharmed.

These aren’t marketing promises. They’re practical agreements—so you know exactly what to expect:

We will be straight with you about what’s possible. If something isn’t safe, advisable, or a good fit, you’ll know before any work begins—even if that means not moving forward.
We preserve, not embellish. No AI upscaling, artificial enhancement, or distortion of the original character of your media.
You own your files—fully. You own your digitized media is delivered in modern formats, without subscriptions, lock-in, or ongoing fees.
The process will stay simple and transparent. Clear communication, clear pricing, and no pressure at any point.

Vintage films, photos, negatives and video cassettes are a physical treasure to be cared for, properly stored and preserved from deterioration.
But the memories they contain can, and should be captured digitally for easy access, sharing, and most importantly, passing those memories forward for present and future generations!
Film continues to fade and degrade
Magnetic tape becomes harder—or impossible—to play
Playback equipment disappears
A rushed or careless service risks irreversible damage
Doing nothing is also a decision—and it’s often the most costly one.
Family media memories are preserved safely
Films, videos, photos, and recordings become accessible again
Children and grandchildren experience moments they never lived
Files are owned, organized, and easy to share
Uncertainty is replaced with confidence and peace of mind
“I’m really glad we did this the right way.”
If you’re unsure where to start, that’s okay. Most people are.
The first step is simply reviewing what you have and confirming whether this is a good fit—without pressure or obligation.
We're happy to give you TWO OPTIONS to doing just that!
